Lig Beyaz Grup’ta yeni sezon öncesinde kadrosunun büyük bölümünü altyapısından yetişen gençlerden oluşturan ve dış transferde sadece 6 takviye yapan Altınordu, 1 haftası bay olmak üzere ilk 9 haftada taraftarlarını hayal kırıklığına uğrattı. Henüz 3 puanla tanışamayan kırmızı-lacivertliler, ligde son sıranın bir basamak üstü olan 18. sıraya kadar geriledi. İzmir temsilcisi, bu süreçte Nazilli, Beyoğlu, Ankara Demir ve Kırşehir’e kaybederken Bursaspor, Bucaspor 1928, Adıyaman FK ve Serik Belediye ile de berabere kaldı. Ligde 4 puan toplayan İzmir temsilcisi, bu maçlarda rakip filelere 4 gol atarken, kalesinde ise 10 gol gördü.
